The Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) has today launched the Don't Chance Fraud campaign, to highlight the serious consequences of turning to fraud and landing a record on the Insurance Fraud Register (IFR).

The Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) and SAS continue to evolve the data sharing capability for the insurance industry through a combined technology platform, which hosts confirmed fraud and suspected fraud data.

Data Protection Act 2018

New Data Protection legislation, in the form of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, came into force on 25th May 2018, providing greater responsibility on all organisations to securely manage, hold and process data.

Extension of IFR Industry Access

Since the IFR's initial inception, the aim has always been to widen membership eligibility out to non-ABI industry participants, for the collective benefit of all contributing parties. In 2016, the IFR Steering Board therefore took the decision to extend joining eligibility out to members of Lloyds, as a logical first step in widening out industry access.
